I
Partnerships
We're working with other LGBTQ|+ community groups and businesses, as well as government organisations to create a nexus of LGBTQI+ resources and services, which build each other up and support each other so we can best provide for the community.
P
Intersectionality
Our mission is to find the resources needed to develop and build inclusive and supportive environments and spaces that respectfully honor our Black Indigenous People of Colour (BIPOC), our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD), our LGBTQ1+ people. And the many other marginalized individuals, groups, and communities that need their voices to be heard.
I
Equity
We recognises that the services BAH provides need to be accessible to all community members across a broad range of cultural, political and social emographics. To achieve this, BAH needs to keep a business ethos of inclusivity and listen to the voices and needs of all members of the LGBTQI+ community.
E
Respect and Dignity
That all people, regardless of race, economic standing, culture, age, colour or diverse sex, sexuality and gender have a right to feel safe, and be treated ethically and with due regard.

WHAT
we got grants!
We're expanding opportunities for LGBTQ+ people and are currently accepting proposals for BAH's Granty grant Fund.
Our fund is independent and made possible by fundraising efforts. We support progressive projects in health services, mental health, entrepreneurial and startup, rehabilitation and social work, and private/personal hardship.
GRANTS
it's personal and grassroots
We're all about being face to face and hands-on when it comes to building the relationships that ultimately enable us to fundraise. Here are the eight primary strategies applied: Sponsorships, grants, corporate and business donations, individual donations, online giveaways, and peer-to-peer fundraising make up the suite of strategies we take. We also conduct workshops events and raise funds by developing alliances and partnerships.
FUND RAISING
EDUCATION AND OTHER POLAVA
In support of the Transgender community, we partner with aligned local businesses to form partnerships to create and host gender aesthetic workshops. These workshops assist the community in designing a physical aesthetic they feel comfortable in.

SHOPS
sponsorship - a connective tissue
Sponsorships allow us to partner with other reputable organizations to receive funds and in-kind donations. We welcome many kinds of sponsorships, from a general partnership or shared involvement or commitment as a joint venture to cross-pollinating and working in conjunction with a campaign or event.

OUR HISTORY
PAST
History
Beyond A hug is the brain child of founder Wendy Zoccoli; advocate and an staunch ally to the LGBTQI+ community for many years.

Volunteering with Free Mum Hugs Perth at the 2019 Pride Fair Day, Wendy was overwhelmed by the amount of people who reached out to her afterwards, searching for help and assistance.

Despite her efforts, Wendy was unable to find a WA based directory with the connections the LGBTQI+ community members she was now in touch with, were searching for. So, she began her quest, and Beyond A Hug was born to fill this gap.
